Fujifilm brings a “Photo Renaissance” to Toronto with its new concept store, Annex Photo, located in the trendy Annex district

Mississauga, ON, August 24, 2016 – FUJIFILM Canada has established a new, immersive photo and brand experience in Toronto’s trendy Annex district, in the re-imagined Annex Photo store.

This store is designed to bring about a “Photo Renaissance” that reintroduces the joy of photography in all aspects of peoples’ lives. This first-of-its-kind retail store in Canada adds to Fujifilm’s other global Wonder Photo Shop locations in Tokyo, New York, Shanghai, Manila, Bogata, and Barcelona.

When designing this new concept store, Fujifilm Canada combined the best merchandising ideas, most popular product assortment and distinctive decorating trends from these Wonder Photo Shops to create the first hybrid Fujifilm concept store that is uniquely Canadian. The newly redesigned Annex Photo, concept by FUJIFILM, will officially open on August 26, at 10am, and is located at 362 Bloor Street West, Toronto.

Annex Photo has been established in the Annex for over 20 years and will reopen with this new concept that Fujifilm Canada has created. Visitors will experience a one-of-a kind creative space made specifically to reacquaint them with the joy and wonder of photography, and how they can bring their favourite images from smartphones and social media to life, through prints, personalized and wall decoration photo products, and unique DIY photo creations.

At Annex Photo, guests will experience an engaging and interactive retail space with new, cutting edge Fujifilm products. They will be encouraged to provide feedback and share their ideas for using photos in their everyday lives. In this way, the store will act as a learning centre giving guests the opportunity to influence product features as they share their own personal preferences and opinions. These interactions will allow Fujifilm to gain a better understanding of what the market wants, ultimately enhancing the customer experience.

The Fujifilm concept store at Annex Photo is meant to act as a catalyst for a Photo Renaissance, a rebirth of the enjoyment of photography. Featuring quick print kiosks with connectivity to mobile devices, print stations with a wide range of product capabilities and a photo booth setup, guests can create a wide range of personalized photo products including photobooks and calendars on site. There will also be a specialized station for creative crafting. The focus is to create a warm, welcoming environment where guests will want to spend time and discover new ways to enjoy their photos and raise the level of creative output to new heights.

The new Annex Photo will have a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram for users to post images and DIY creations with hashtags to create excitement. Look for Annex Photo online at Instagram @annexphotostore and on Facebook at @annexphotostore.
